We have self motivated and engergetic a group of staff members who are the key of success to our organisation.
Our volunteer and ambulance service is always ready to pick up the homeless people with the help of local police and the local “Somajsheba/Social Service” department.Once notified of such helpless people, Apon Ghar’s rescue team promptly contact the local police station where the person is found or through emergency contact number 999.
Registering a general diary (GD) in the local police station, the rescue team rescue the guest. Afterwards, we provide first aid, personal hygiene, bathing, food, clothing, etc. All rescued guests are taken to the ‘Thana Health Complex’ emergency service for a thorough health checkup and return to Apon Ghar shelter and start taking care as per assessment.
After the initial recovery, if the guest is able to tell their home or relatives’ address, the Apon Ghar team contact their relatives and initiate the process to reunite with their family. In case of refusal by their relative to take back their family member, who is currently our guest, then through vocational training as per their ability, Apon Ghar try to make them capable of surviving.
